Hope you have all had a good week and are looking forward to the weekend.
Last week we spoke about new colour trends for autumn and I have had lots of great discussion with clients about colour and techniques to change their hair for autumn. All this discussion led clients to ask the question “where do we get our inspiration from? “So this week’s blog lifts the lid on one source of inspiration.
Salon International is a yearly event and takes place in London from 13th to 15th October; it’s an event that I have been attending since I was nineteen(that was a long time ago I hear you say)and I still get excited about this weekend because there is much to see and learn and be inspired by. Over the years, as you can imagine, it has grown and developed and although it is a chance to buy all the latest equipment and products, education is still at its core and that is my main reason for going. The main event for me is the Sassoon art team seminar showing their latest collections. It never fails to inspire with their cutting, colour ideas and techniques. New for this year is the Trevor Sorbie art team and I am super excited to see this show. As well as these ticketed events there is always a lot to see in the exhibition itself and not only do you see work from UK hairdressers there is also hairdressers from Europe and the USA working on stage. It’s great to see how we all interpret the latest trends in different ways and it’s a chance to see things up close and ask lots of questions.
The event attracts hairdressers from all over the world and it is a chance to catch up with people you only see once a year to share thoughts and ideas.
An amazing event and one I am really looking forward to, I will tell all in a future blog.
Have a great weekend and I will catch up with you next week
