Hi everyone
I thought I would share my thoughts on a film I watched at a training session we had in the salon hosted by Lisa & Michelle. The Film was Dior & I and told the story of Christian Dior and the design house he created and the designers who succeeded him.
The film focused on Raf Simons first haute couture collection. This guys passion, attention to detail and his attitude of “only the best will do “was inspiring to say the least, and along with his design skills makes it a marriage made in heaven.
The finished collection was so beautiful, keeping the Dior DNA but creating real modernity within every garment (all the clothes were completed in the matter of weeks).
The team making the clothes truly brought his vision to life and seemed to share his passion, witnessing their skill was a pleasure to watch.
Bringing it back to salon life, watching this film confirms that the whole team have to believe in the vision and have the confidence, skill and desire to bring it to life
