Hi everyone

September is a busy month in the fashion calendar with fashion weeks across the world’s major cities and  bumper issues of fashion press.

This month ,the BBC did a two part documentary profiling the editor of British Vogue and the team that create the monthly fashion bible and, in particular, the centenary addition.

Personally i thought the programme was guarded, but what it did  show was how many creative fields come together to create the end picture and the detail involved to get the perfect shot.

Clients often ask where we get our inspiration from, and although we get in from many sources ,Vogue is still a key influence .Looking at what era or muse has inspired a design house leads to ideas that influence new haircuts and colour : also taking ideas from how people interpret these trends on the street is another way to filter this back into the salon.

Just a little insight into the creative thought process of the next big haircut.
