I thought I would do one last blog before we say goodbye to 2017 and reflect on all that has happened in this last year .
Entering awards was something we focused on this year and the excellence in customer care at the Fife Business Awards was a great was a great place to start. An entry Dossier was submitted in October 2016 and we were thrilled to be short listed, we then did a presentation to a panel of judges in January 2017 and were announced winners in March this year. It was great to receive an award for something that myself and the team are so passionate and believe so strongly about. The Scottish hair and Beauty Awards (SHABA) were next and after submitting our entry it was down to you our amazing clients to vote and I have to say a massive heartfelt thanks to all of you who voted for us. We then had a mystery client who visited us and in September at another awards dinner (it’s a tough life) we brought Scottish salon of the year award back to Fife. It’s fantastic to win awards and reaffirms to the team that all their hard work and dedication is recognised by our amazing industry.
Our Annual Fund Raiser this year for our Chosen Charity Maggie’s Centre Fife was another great success raising £3750.00 and this was down to the hard work from our team and the great support and donating from our amazing clients, family and friends.
As I have said in earlier blogs education is something I am passionate about and to be able to work with a company like L’Oréal and deliver Education to other hairdressers throughout the UK is a great privilege. This year Michelle got involved in these seminars and created amazing looks and inspired our students on these courses and I have to say I felt very proud.
You tube was calling this year and I felt it was time to share ideas and educate our clients by giving styling tips to help you create fantastic hair in between salon visits and next year I am hoping to get our camera shy team involved so you guys can see what they are up to in the world of hair styling.
The British hairdressing Fellowship asked me to present on stage at a show in Edinburgh in November, taking me out my comfort Zone (this is good) and I have to say I enjoyed every minute and the great feedback made it all worthwhile.
Last but not least and something I am so happy to announce is Megan has now passed all her exams and is now a graduate stylist. Huge congratulations to Megan and I am looking forward to seeing her grow in 2018.
There is much more I can talk about but the blog has a danger to be more like war and peace so to keep up to date watch out for our newsletters in 2018.
Before I sign of I would like to take this opportunity to say thanks to all our amazing clients because without you Byron hairdressing would not be here and also to the amazing Byron team and all their hard work, support and dedication and I wish all of you a very happy and Healthy 2018
Much Love
Ronnie
