Hi everyone

As I promised last week, this week we are taking hair trends for autumn and winter.

Fearless colour is still a big story, for this we are talking bold strong colours with a nod to punk for inspiration. L’Oreal colourful hair is our go to colour to create strong blue and yellow tones and although this trend is not for everyone we can create a softer feel but adding the colour in panels so they peek through a fringe or underneath the outline.

There were lots of metallic fabrics and futuristic shapes on the catwalk this season and we have been experimenting with metallic shades in the hair to compliment this trend.

Using mauve and ash tones over a highlight technique turns a classic look into something more contemporary but still commercial and wearable.

As we change our hair colour we also think about changing our makeup to compliment, another big trend is make up inspired blending techniques, translating this to hair we are smudging a softer base colour at the roots and blending to lighter tonesĀ  through the lengths creating an autumnal vibe to your summer blonde.

And as always warm tones for autumn continue to be popular; our take on it is soft bronze tones mixed with rose golds and these can be used as global applications or as accent colours, and as we saw red on the catwalk, strong coppers and reds still have their place for impact and shine.

Hope this gives you a little food for thought and as always we will share all this with you at your next appointment or colour consultation.

The blog is having a little holiday and will return on Tuesday 31st October

Until then

Take care

Ronnie
