What an amazing day last Sunday was – and we have all made it back to the salon safe and in one piece.
The Lairig Ghru was our toughest challenge yet, but the sense of achievement after completing it outweighed any concerns we may have had during the trek.
Amazing scenery, rugged landscape and tranquillity were in abundance as were the rain and those midges, but it made no difference to the outstanding team spirit by everyone involved. Watching the whole team support one another, look out for each other, give words of encouragement and hold out a helping hand when needed was fantastic to see and be part of; words can’t really explain how proud I am of what the team achieved.
Every day, Maggie’s Centres offer help and support to people living with cancer and to their families and loved ones.
Holding out that helping hand is one of the gifts that make it such a special place.
A massive thank you to everyone who has supported and donated to our challenge and currently the total raised is £3800 – AMAZING!!!
