There was no Sunday rest this week for Byron as Ronnie, Lisa and Zoe gave up their day off to come and help create fabulous looks for the winners of local boutique Rouge’s makeover and photoshoot competition.

The Face of Rouge competition was launched in December last year by owner Tania to find ‘real’ models who would undergo a head-to-toe makeover before taking part in a professional photoshoot. Tania was fed up with the unrealistic models typically used in the fashion industry and wanted beautiful, yet real people for her Hunter Street boutique’s advertising. With more than 1,000 votes cast, Liz Forrest (left in photo) and Mags Black were announced as winners back in January, giving time to prepare for the photoshoot in March.

As well as their new cut and colour this week, Mags and Liz also won a Rouge dress from the Irresistible or Veni Infantino design houses and flowers from Wild Orchid.  They are all ready now for the photoshoot with Catch Photography at Barlbinnie House Hotel on Tuesday 25 March, where session make-up artist Karen Bowen will be on hand with Ronnie and Tania to add the finishing polishes before the pictures are taken.

Ronnie said: ‘It’s always great to team up with like-minded local businesses and the Byron team were more than happy to give up their Sunday to deliver our part of the prize. Liz and Mags looked great and I’m sure will prove excellent models for Rouge’s advertising campaigns.’
