Fame is the thirst of youth.
Lord Byron

Over the coming months, I’m going to share with you my likes and dislikes, my obsessions, my dreams, my fantasy. But first a little bit about me. So the name’s Linzi. I’m from Kirkcaldy (exotic I know) and currently in fifth year of high school, which means I’m 16. I’m OBSESSED with fashion and will work for Elle one day, if I don’t start up my own magazine first. I love high-end fashion designers such as Celine, Yves Saint Laurent, Stella McCartney, Vivienne Westwood, Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang and, of course, the amazing much-mourned Alexander McQueen.

Sadly I would have to go hungry and busk every day to be the new Carrie Bradshaw so instead I make do with Topshop, Urban Outfitters, H&M and the internet.

I have five major aspirations in life: to graduate from university; to work in fashion; to get married (hopefully to some fabulous rockstar and have a wonderful wedding like Kate Moss. However marrying Prince Harry and giving everyone a day off also seems pretty appealing.); to have three children (Brody, Sophia and Lily,) and to open a tearoom. Jasmine, Green or Earl Grey, in a little china tea cup = magnifique.

I love music, a bit of 60s Rock n’ Roll or 90s Britpop is a heart winner. Good movies such as An Education, A Single Man and, inevitably, Titanic (Leonardo DiCaprio was my first crush, so dreamy!) I love a good book and am working my way through that ‘100 best reads’ or whatever list you’re meant to read before you die. Truman Capote, Oscar Wilde and, ok so maybe perhaps not as ‘grown-up’, Roald Dahl (well, who can’t love Matilda?) are among my favourites.

There have been a few people that I have looked up to and admired like Kate Moss, Michael Jackson, Paul McCartney etc. I have however, had a few idols who have never changed;
David Attenborough – I grew up with hearing him talk about strange and beautiful animals and travelling to exotic places.
J.K. Rowling – I owe my childhood to this woman. You have no idea how excited I got for each book and movie release and now that it’s sadly all over I feel like a part of me is gone and I’m all grown up.
Lord Alan Sugar ‘“ Why? In short, he started with nothing and is now one of the most successful businessmen in the world.

Not much else to say really other than enjoy reading and visit regularly.
