Hi, it’s heading rapidly towards that time of year again. I hope you are all well and looking forward to Christmas.

Life in the salon is really hotting up for the festive season and the team are buzzing with ideas about how to create beautiful hair for your party season.

Soft waves, loose plaits and 60s-inspired dressings are all hot this year, and the new GHD wands and tongs are perfect for these looks, giving great curl and texture effects. Just ask next time you’re in and your stylist will be happy to show you how to get the best results with these amazing tools.

At your next visit, also be sure to say hi to our latest team members. Charleigh and Caitlin have just started as assistants at Byron, and are already showing themselves as great assets to the team.

It’s also congrats to Zoe, who has recently been promoted from Graduate Stylist to Hair Designer. It’s great to see someone so keen to work at being the best they can be and to see her gain much-deserved recognition for all the effort she puts in. Zoe is continuing to develop her skills with advanced L’Oréal Colour Training and in-salon Creative Training.

They’ll be joining the rest of the team when we head into Edinburgh for the Byron Christmas party at the Sheraton Grand. Our team nights out are always a good excuse to get glammed up let our hair down (metaphorically, at least), and we’re all looking forward to what I’m sure will be a fantastic party. If you want to see for yourself, we’ll be posting pics on our Facebook page, so check in and let us know what you think.

Meanwhile, we’re looking towards 2015 and thinking about ways to make sure we keep offering all our lovely clients the very best service possible. A big part of this is education – keeping everyone skilled up in the latest techniques and abreast of developments in haircare products and up-to-the-minute styling.

Our 2015 education programme is being planned as I write, with exciting developments in our plans for colour. Personally, I’m also privileged to be running some education courses for L’Oréal Professional in 2015, teaching our Next Chapter course to young hairdressers around the UK.

So it looks like 2015 is going to be pretty full-on, with lots of exciting developments in the pipeline. I’ll be making more of an effort to keep you in touch with salon news (promise), so look out for regular blogs and Facebook updates in 2015.

Until then, have an amazing Christmas
Much love

Ronnie
